Google: The Company That Changed the Internet

Google is one of the most influential technology companies in the world. Founded in 1998 by Larry Page and Sergey Brin while they were PhD students at Stanford University, the company began as a search engine project. Their goal was simple: to organize the world’s information and make it universally accessible and useful.

Over time, Google expanded far beyond search. Today, it offers a wide range of products and services used by billions of people daily—Gmail, Google Maps, YouTube, Android, Google Drive, and many more. The company is known for innovation, clean design, and user-friendly interfaces.

In 2015, Google became a subsidiary of a new holding company called Alphabet Inc. This allowed the company to better manage its growing number of businesses and projects, from artificial intelligence to self-driving cars.

With its headquarters in Mountain View, California (known as the "Googleplex"), Google continues to shape the future of technology through research, development, and bold ideas.
